5th November, Monday Teachers visited the school. It followed reception by the Headmaster Nikolaos Dampasis and meeting with students. The students had the opportunity to ask questions to the guests about their schools, their students, their specialties and their home countries. Next they visited the small town and the Local Administration. There was offered lunch to all teachers and all employees of the Municipality as a welcome. Later one there was organized a trip to Gorgopotamos, Thermopiles, Kamena Vourla. These are historical places and there are Thermal Sources from which some of them are free to the public and some are organized for tourist exploitation. | ![]() |
![]() | ,6th November, Tuesday, After Project meeting teachers visited the Educational Environmental Center of Ipati on the mountain Oiti. There was presentation about the role of the center in Greek education, the National and international projects which the center develops and the opportunities of the local area for the use of alternative sources of Energy. After there was organized visit to the Byzantine Museum of Ipati, to the Monastery of Agathonos in which there are a natural History Museum and a park with wild birds and animals and Visit to Loutra Ipatis where there is touristy exploitation of Thermal Source. The same day visitors had the occasion to participate in an activity with bicycles. |
| 7th November, Wednesday During the excursion, visitors knew the city of Trikala, visited 3 Monasteries of Meteora, picnic in that unique place and after a long journey through the ancient cities of Farsala and Anghialo till the coastal beautiful city of Volos. | ![]() |
![]() | 8th November, Thursday Teachers visited the Archeological Museum of Lamia and the Prefecture of Fthiotida, where the prefect welcome them and exchanged views. The same day project meeting realized and after it students presented the School Performance: “I want to live”. It was a dissemination activity for the project and all bearers and the local society were invited. Students presented the beauty of the world, the beauty of the nature and the beauty of the healthy daily life with the traditions of each society. But this beauty can be destroyed by the humans’ activities. Here is appeared the education of the people and the effort for their awakening for the protection of their environment and their lives. Teachers were honored by the Mayor of Lianokladi with the Symbol of the City. In continue, Municipality of Lianokladi offered dinner and all people shared a happy and amusing night. |
| 9th November, Friday In the morning Project meeting realized. Later with the presence of students and all teachers of the school, Poland and Romania presented nice work with their students (there are the presentations). Also students of Gymnasio presented: The rewarded composition of the student Eva Karageorgou, with the title “thoughts after a disaster”. A power point presentation of the student Elvis Ciausel about his impressions of his participation in the project through 3 years and a simulated conversation where pupils took the role of administrator, government, local authority, ecologist, entrepreneur, citizen and children. They developed a spontaneous discussion because of the great disaster in their country. This fact could force them to face the reality and the consequences of humans’ activities against the environment. Later teachers visited the Educational Environmental Center of Stylida the port of Lamia. Teachers from the Center presented the National and international projects which they develop, they presented an example of presentation – lesson for pupils, talked about the opportunities of the local area to the use of alternative sources of energy and they served as guides the visitors in the different didactic classrooms of the center with the different equipment. At the end the lunch took place in the village Agia Marina beside the calm sea. | ![]() |
![]() | 10th November, Saturday Departure for Athens and sightseeing tour in the city of Athens. Teachers walked in Syntagma Square, the market street Ermou, the old city of Plaka and the hill of Philopappou. Also they visited Acropolis, The Erothion Theater, Thissio, and the old tradition market of Monastiraki. Taking metro and tram arrived to the coastal city of Paleo Faliro. At night all enjoyed the view by night from the hill of Philopapou, and walking and amusement through night life of Athens. , |
