We are pleased to announce you that one of our students, who participated in the “Energy is our Future” 2007 school competition, Zsombor Bodrogi 11.B, was a finalist.“Energy is our Future” is a joint project launched by European Schoolnet and PlasticsEurope, the association of plastics manufacturers to help teachers and students understand how energy consumption affects climate change and how advanced materials like plastics can help us save energy and will help us create a sustainable future.
"People all over the world have become more and more aware of the fact that the protection of evironment is of major importance in our consumer society. If man goes on wasting their resources, polluting the air people may make this planet impossible for mankind to live on.

There are a lot of ways to save our resources to use energy economically and waste less. It’s up to you! If you choose more environment-friendly and economical ways of using energy you can save the world. A lot depends on you! Goverments should encourage people to use renewable energy resources such as solar energy by giving people grants to use it for heating their homes. Wind is cheaper than electricity or oil. If you travel to Holland or only to Vienna you can see a lot of windmills which signal that these countries have recognized that it does not pollute the air and does not destroy the environment.

I hope that the people in my country realize in time that you can use the environment not only in a destructive but in a more constructive way to ensure bright future for further generations"
